RECENTLY...Alsion and Asher have both recently twon championships in prestigious Irish traditional music competitions. At the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil (Music Festival-Competitions) in St. Luiss in April 2007 Alison competed in a very large contest of over two dozen of the top fiddlers in the US and Canada and took first place. Last year, Alison qualified to compete at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann (All-Irelan Music Championships) in Letterkenny , Co. Donegal in Ireland.

Similarly Asher competeed in the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil and for several years running 2004-2006-2006 and 2007 won in both accordian and concertina competitions. Great stuff! Asher can be seen playing a Edgley concertina of the Frank Edgley concertina maker site.

Marty Somberg who played with the band since it's inception and played with Jim and Terence for decades is now playing with a hillbilly olde tyme band for a change of pace. Marty still runs sessions at Conor O' Neills in Ann Arbor and is a busy guy with his design business. Although not performing with Finvarra's Wren, Marty can be heard playing on the most recently released CD , "Havent Yet Lost My Ears".
